ORIGINAL AURICULAS WATERCOLOR PAINTING

This is the largest watercolor painting I have ever painted at 30" x 22" and painted on heavy 300lbs watercolor paper.

About the subject, Auriculas (Primula Auricula) is a alpine plant that is very popular in Europe. Prized for their showy, jewel-like blooms, they are traditionally displayed in individual pots and can be seen in many of the beautiful floral paintings from the Dutch Golden Age.
